Financial Times subsidiary, FundFire, has covered ORIX USA’s announcement that Nik Singhal will join the firm as Managing Director and Group Head of Direct Lending within our Private Credit Business, effective July 8th.
“ORIX Corporation USA has brought on BlackRock executive Nik Singhal to lead its direct lending business, the firm said in a news release.
Singhal is taking on a newly created role as the private funds manager divides its private credit platform into two verticals: direct lending and securitized credit, both of which are overseen by Jeff Abrams, the firm’s group head of private credit and real estate. Raviv Shtaingos, the firm’s head of structured credit, will lead the securitized credit group, overseeing the structured credit team as well as the asset-based finance and GP solutions teams, a spokesperson said. Both report to Abrams.”
