Tim Latimore is Managing Director, Chief Risk Officer and Head of Integrated Risk and Portfolio Management for ORIX Corporation USA. He is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Investment Committee and is based in New York. In his role, he is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risk components across the organization, including credit, market, operational and liquidity risk. In addition, he works with the firm’s management team on portfolio management processes, risk governance and capital allocation initiatives. He joined the firm in 2022 and is based in New York.
Prior to joining ORIX USA, Mr. Latimore had a 28-year career at Bank of America and Merrill Lynch, where he was most recently Head of Global Corporate & Investment Banking Credit for Asia Pacific in Hong Kong, leading a team in structuring and approving credit solutions across Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Fixed Income and Global Trade Services. Prior to that, he held numerous leadership positions with the firm in Japan, including Country Executive, Bank of America Group and President, Merrill Lynch Japan Securities, Head of Corporate Banking, Japan, and various roles in the Investment Banking Division overseas and in the U.S.
He earned a BA in History from Williams College, an MBA from The Wharton School and an MA in International and Global Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Latimore started his career in Japan and is fluent in Japanese.
