Chris Saito is a Director in the Corporate Development and Strategic Opportunities business at ORIX Corporation USA, responsible for activities in new business development and M&A at the firm. Prior to his current role, Mr. Saito worked at ORIX Capital Partners, the private equity arm of ORIX USA, for four years focusing on the Industrials sector. He joined ORIX USA in 2016 and is based in New York.
Mr. Saito has over 19 years of experience in private equity and strategic investments, and currently focuses on M&A activities and monitoring of ORIX USA’s existing portfolio companies primarily in the Real Estate and Financial Institutions sectors. Prior to his role at ORIX USA, he was a Director at Mitsui & Co.’s M&A team, where he worked on corporate acquisitions in the Food and Retail sector. Prior to Mitsui & Co., Mr. Saito spent almost 10 years as an investment banker both in the U.S. and Japan, where he focused on cross-border M&A activities in the TMT and Consumer Retail sectors.
Mr. Saito graduated from Waseda University in Japan with a BBA in Business and Commerce. He is bilingual in English and Japanese.
