Jeff Bede is Managing Director and Head of ORIX Corporation USA’s Growth Capital business, leading the group’s investment efforts, investment strategy, portfolio management and capital raising. He has more than 25 years of successful investing and financial advisory experience—primarily in the technology sector—involving $3 billion of equity, debt and M&A transactions across nearly 200 companies. Mr. Bede joined the firm in 2007 and is based in Seattle.
Before joining ORIX USA, Mr. Bede provided private equity and M&A advisory services at two boutique investment banks: Chessiecap Securities, where he headed the private placement and valuation practices, and Capital Run LLC, which he co-founded. He also worked in the technology and private placement groups at Prudential Securities, Volpe Brown Whelan & Company and Dain Rauscher Wessels, as well as Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and Heitman JMB.
Mr. Bede holds a BA and MA in Quantitative Economics and Sociology from Stanford University, as well as an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
