Tan Nuchkasem is a Managing Director of Research with Signal Peak Capital Management (SPCM), a credit focused asset management team at ORIX Advisers, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of ORIX Corporation USA. Mr. Nuchkasem has been with ORIX USA since 2008 including five years with the Mariner Leveraged Credit Team prior to that team’s ownership transition to ORIX USA and rebranding as SPCM in 2020. He works directly with SPCM’s Co-Heads to ensure best practices and implement value-added research tools across the platform. He is also a voting member of SPCM’s Investment Committee. Additionally, Mr. Nuchkasem has primary responsibility for covering the software sector with secondary responsibility for the telecom, media, cable and satellite, energy and utilities and metals and mining sectors.
Previously, Mr. Nuchkasem was an Associate at Barrier Advisors, an affiliate of Highland Capital Management, L.P., focused on investment banking, restructuring and operations advisory. From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Nuchkasem was an Associate for PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Transaction Services & Transfer Pricing group in Dallas, Texas and New York, New York.
Mr. Nuchkasem earned a BBA and an MPA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
